about the author
Jill was born in 1960. That was a long time ago! Even though she is as old as your grandmother (she goes by Nana), sometimes she acts like a seven-year-old.
She loves traveling to faraway places, volunteering at church, planning events and entertaining family & friends, singing and dancing, playing games, crafting, decorating, and taking lots of pictures ("Say Cheeeese!").
Her favorite food is chocolate chip cookies, and she eats way too many of them. Ms. Jill has been writing stories, poetry, slogans, and commercials for as long as she can remember but feels like this is just the beginning.
Ms. Jill lives in Sugar Land, Texas, with her awesome husband, Alan, and their precious (and spoiled) MaltiPoo, Bailey. They have five grown children, one son-in-love, two daughters-in-love, and four amazing grandchildren.
"My Super Hero is Jesus," says Ms. Jill.
bio
Jill Hemann was born and raised in Frankenmuth, Michigan with a six-year detour through Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has also lived in Salt Lake City, Denver, Scottsdale, and currently, Sugar Land, Texas. Her most significant accomplishments are raising her two amazing sons, Bryan and Jeremy.
“From the moment they were born, I knew there would never be a love like this.
Their lives I gave TO them, and my life I would give FOR them.”
Since graduating with a degree in Advertising & Marketing, she has been a promotions manager, event planner, radio copywriter, radio announcer, sales executive, certified radio media consultant, teacher, photographer, landlord, ad agency owner, magazine area director, published writer, editor, content coordinator, and now, at age 59--an author!
Jill is also a bible study team leader, guest connections volunteer, and photographer at River Pointe Church, an advocate for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and an executive consultant for Mary & Martha Inspirational Living.
“I have been writing and taking pictures for as long as I can remember.
There are two things I am never without—a pen and a camera. Life is about spending time with people you love and turning those moments into keepsakes. Photographs and words written from the heart do just that.”
Jill loves Jesus, her family, and friends. She gives thanks each day for a blessed life.
